About Me

My name is Caroline Ley and I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist, Counsellor & Stress Management Consultant located in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. My previous experience includes working as a Residential Social Worker, Youth & Community Worker and Family Support Officer for the Child Protection Team. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (Counselling and Coaching Division) and The British Psychological Society and hold up-to-date public liability insurance.




Counselling & Psychotherapy

Both counselling and psychotherapy are talking therapies which aim to increase your sense of well-being, happiness and life satisfaction.  They can help you start to explore issues more effectively and help you find better ways of dealing with whatever obstacles are getting in the way of your growth and happiness.

Transitional Therapy offers a confidential counselling service in Buckhurst Hill. You will be given the time, space and support to explore the issues that are important to you. Together, we will set your therapeutic goals and create a solution focused plan to suit your needs.




Relationship Counselling

In relationship or marriage counselling, it is the couple’s relationship that is the central focus. Even though each individual within the relationship may be experiencing problems of their own, the focus is on how the relationship functions and how the two parties relate to one another. The goal of relationship and marriage counselling is to resolve the problems within the relationship itself, this does not mean that each person’s problems are not relevant to the counselling process, they are but only in how the problem impacts on the relationship.




Performance Coaching

Life Coaching involves a conversation between us which encourages you to explore and navigate your way through any aspect of your life that you may wish to change.

Transitional Therapy will help you to initiate change by encouraging you to explore your world and beliefs and focus on change.   Coaching differs from other forms of therapy in that it focuses your attention on the here and now and the immediate future.
